The Song of Sunset

Anita Mui-
Like the floating clouds gather and dissipate,
Intertwist with this tiring face marked by vicissitudes.
[In the] endless road
suddenly aware that time decreasing and receding
Happiness is often short and not comes back
Who has the insight that my dream is [to be] ordinary?

Having experienced how much trials and hardships
[that] weaves my interlocking dream and fantasy;
Having met your sincere shoulder and arm
[that] accompany me walking through adversities and difficulties

In the rough time, [my] heart is dispirited and the mind becomes apathetic
On the road [encounter] another turn of turmoil and obstacle,
One day when [I] think of going back bit it is already too late.

Barter ~ Sara Teasdale

Barter
Life has loveliness to sell,
All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fire that sways and sings,
And children's faces looking up
Holding wonder like a cup.

Life has loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of gold,
Scent of pine trees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy thoughts that star the night.

Spend all you have for loveliness,
Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of peace
Count many a year of strife well lost,
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.

Your Laughter

Your Laughter

Take bread away from me, if you wish,
Take air away, but
Do not take from me your laughter.

Do not take away the rose,
The lance flower that you pluck,
The water that suddenly bursts forth in joy,
The sudden wave of silver born in you.

My struggle is harsh and I come back with eyes tired
at times from having seen the unchanging earth,
But when your laughter enters, it rises to the sky seeking me
And it opens for me all the doors of life.

My love, in the darkest hour your laughter opens,
And if suddenly you see my blood staining the stones of the street,
Laugh, because your laughter
Will be for my hands like a fresh sword.

Next to the sea in the autumn,
Your laughter must raise its foamy cascade,
And in the spring, love, I want your laughter like
The flower I was waiting for, the blue flower, the rose of my echoing country.

Laugh at the night, at the day, at the moon,
Laugh at the twisted streets of the island,
Laugh at this clumsy boy, who loves you,
But when I open my eyes and close them,
When my steps go, when my steps return,
Deny me bread, air, light, spring,
But never your laughter for I would die.

Sleigh Ride ~ Merry Christmas

SLEIGH RIDE
(Leroy Anderson / Mitchell Parish)

Just hear those sleigh bells jingling,
ring ting tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather
for a sleigh ride together with you
Outside the snow is falling
and friends are calling "yoo hoo",
Come on, it's lovely weather
for a sleigh ride together with you.

Giddy yap, giddy yap, giddy yap,
let's go, Let's look at the show,
We're riding in a wonderland of snow.
Giddy yap, giddy yap, gidd yap,
it's grand, Just holding your hand,
We're gliding along with a song
of a wintry fairy land

Our cheeks are nice and rosy
and comfy cozy are we
We're snuggled up together
like two birds of a feather would be
Let's take that road before us
and sing a chorus or two
Come on, it's lovely weather
for a sleigh ride together with you.

A Winter Night~Sara Teasdale

A Winter Night

My window-pane is starred with frost,
The world is bitter cold to-night,
The moon is cruel, and the wind
Is like a two-edged sword to smite.

God pity all the homeless ones,
The beggars pacing to and fro.
God pity all the poor to-night
Who walk the lamp-lit streets of snow.

My room is like a bit of June,
Warm and close-curtained fold on fold,
But somewhere, like a homeless child,
My heart is crying in the cold.

The June Jasmine is really beautiful.
The loving young man looks really cute.
Pretty flowers rarely come two by two. Without girl companionship,
the young man is rather unfortunate.

The June Jasmine is really fragrant.
The single girl stays in her room without company.
Flowers are pretty that is also if there is someone interested in picking.
If no one knows her existence, that is indeed upsetting.

The June Jasmine's aroma permeates in the air.
The single girl feels endlessly lonely.
Flower is pretty that is if someone appreciates.
When will the loving young man be around?

The June Jasmine smells pretty throughout the night.
The single girl can only dream on it.
Nice flowers bloom till the end of Winter.
When will the single girl announce to marry?

The June Jasmine is fragrant all over the mountains.
When picking the flowers, be careful with the bushes,
Just like the butterflies messing up everything,
picking one bush then to another bush.

The June Jasmine goes six different ways.
The prettier one ends up brought to the vase.
During daytime there are people caring for the picked flowers.
It is hard to see at night.

Where Roads Are ~ Rabindranath Tagore

VI
WHERE roads are made I lose my way.
In the wide water, in the blue sky there is no line of a track.
The pathway is hidden by the birds' wings, by the star-fires, by the
flowers of the wayfaring seasons.
And I ask my heart if its blood carries the wisdom of the unseen way.

Rabindranath Tagore

I WOKE And Found His Letter ~ Rabindranath Tagore

IV
I WOKE and found his letter with the morning.
I do not know what it says, for I cannot read.
I shall leave the wise man alone with his books, I shall not trouble him,
for who knows if he can read what the letter says.
Let me hold it to my forehead and press it to my heart.
When the night grows still and stars come out one by one I will spread it
on my lap and stay silent.
The rustling leaves will read it aloud to me, the rushing stream will chant
it, and the seven wise stars will sing it to me from the sky.
I cannot find what I seek, I cannot understand what I would learn; but this
unread letter has lightened my burdens and turned my thoughts into songs.

Gather Ye Roses ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

Gather Ye Roses
Gather ye roses while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying;
A world where beauty fleets away
Is no world for denying.
Come lads and lasses, fall to play
Lose no more time in sighing

The very flowers you pluck to-day
To-morrow will be dying;
And all the flowers are crying,
And all the leaves have tongues to say,-
Gather ye roses while ye may.

Have You Ever Been In Love ~ WestLife

Have You Ever Been In Love
In the morning light
Half awake and half asleep
Have you ever laid there thinking
Was it all a dream?
But you reach out and she's there
Every moment, everywhere
Have you ever been in love?

Have you ever felt
How far a heart can fall
Have you ever stayed up waiting
For a telephone call
Just to hear her say hello
Cause you miss each other so
Have you ever been in love?

Have there been times to laugh
And times you really want to cry
Finding reasons to believe her
cause you'd die a little if she lied
And when in times of doubt
Have you ever tried to work it out
But still she leaves you wondering
What it's all about

And when she's far away
Have you ever felt the need to stray
And tried and then discovered
It just doesn't pay
Cause with her, you can be true
And with her, you can be you
Have you ever been in love?

Have there been times to laugh
And times you really want to cry
Finding reasons to believe her
Cause you'd die a little if she lied
And when in times of doubt
Have you ever tried to work it out
But still she leaves you wondering
What its all about

And when the night comes down
Can you call your house a home
Do you dream you're still together
And wake up alone
Have you ever been in love
The way that I'm in love
Have you ever been in love?
Have you ever been in love?

XXXI~WHO Among You Will Take Up ~ Rabindranath Tagore

XXXI
"WHO among you will take up the duty of feeding the hungry?" Lord Buddha
asked his followers when famine raged at Shravasti.
Ratnâkar, the banker, hung his head and said, "Much more is needed than all my wealth to feed the hungry."
Jaysen, the chief of the King's army, said, "I would gladly give my life's
blood, but there is not enough food in my house."
Dharmapâal, who owned broad acres of land, said with a sigh, "The drought
demon has sucked my fields dry. I know not how to pay King's dues."
Then rose Supriyâ, the mendicant's daughter.
She bowed to all and meekly said, "I will feed the hungry."
"How!" they cried in surprise. "How can you hope to fulfil that vow?"
"I am the poorest of you all," said Supriyâ, "that is my strength. I have
my coffer and my store at each of your houses."

Rabindranath Tagore

Now you're so sad that
Your tears have all dried up
And it seems like you'll
Never make a smiling face again, but...

"Once, that also happened to me."
One day you'll talk about it like that.
"Way back when, that also happened to me."
Surely, you'll talk about it laughing.
So today, don't fret.
Let it blow away in the wind of today!

Turning, turning, time is turning.
Joy, sadness, come and go.
Today, even the lovers who were parted,
Will be reborn and happen across each other!

People who continue their journey
will one day return to their home town.
Even if this evening they are falling,
they surely believe they can go out the door.
Even if today endless
cold rain is pouring down.

Returning, returning, time is returning.
Partings and meetings come and go.
Today, the travelers who fell,
Will be reborn and start to walk again!

Turning, turning, time is turning.
Partings and meetings come and go.
Today, the travelers who fell,
Will be reborn and start to walk again!

Turning, turning, time is turning.
Partings and meetings come and go.
Today, the travelers who fell,
Will be reborn and start to walk again!

Today, the travelers who fell,
Will be reborn and start to walk again!

Absence ~ Thomas William Heney

Absence
Ah, happy air that, rough or soft,
May kiss that face and stay;
And happy beams that from above
May choose to her their way;
And happy flowers that now and then
Touch lips more sweet than they!

But it were not so blest to be
Or light or air or rose;
Those dainty fingers tear and toss
The bloom that in them glows;
And come or go, both wind and ray
She heeds not, if she knows.

But if I come thy choice should be
Either to love or not --
For if I might I would not kiss
And then be all forgot;
And it were best thy love to lose
If love self-scorn begot.

Remember ~ Christina Rossetti

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you planned:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

Christina Rossetti

Three Little Birds ~ Bob Marley

Bob Marley — Three Little Birds
"Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', ("This is my message to you-ou-ou:")

Singin': "Don't worry 'bout a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right."
Singin': "Don't worry (don't worry) 'bout a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', "This is my message to you-ou-ou:"

Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, worry about a thing, oh!
Every little thing gonna be all right. Don't worry!"
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing" - I won't worry!
"'Cause every little thing gonna be all right."

Singin': "Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right" - I won't worry!
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right."
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, oh no!
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!

Words ~ F.R. David

F.R. David - Words
Words, don't come easy to me
How can I find a way to make you see I Love You
Words don't come easy

Words, don't come easy to me
This is the only way for me to say I Love You
Words don't come easy

Well I'm just a music man
Melody's so far my best friend
But my words are coming out wrong and I
I reveal my heart to you and
Hope that you believe it's true cause

Words, don't come easy to me
How can I find a way to make you see I love You
Words don't come easy

This is just a simple song
That I've made for you on my own
There's no hidden meaning you know when I
When I say I love you honey
Please believe I really do cause

Words, don't come easy to me
How can I find a way to make you see I Love You
Words don't come easy

It isn't easy
Words don't come easy

Words, don't come easy to me
How can I find a way to make you see I Love You
Words don't come easy

Don't come easy to me
This is the only way for me to say I Love You
Words don't come easy

Words don't come easy

Meeting at Night ~ Robert Browning

Meeting at Night
The gray sea and the long black land;
And the yellow half-moon large and low;
And the startled little waves that leap
In fiery ringlets from their sleep,
As I gain the cove with pushing prow,
And quench its speed i’ the slushy sand.

Then a mile of warm sea-scented beach;
Three fields to cross till a farm appears;
A tap at the pane, the quick sharp scratch
And blue spurt of a lighted match,
And a voice less loud, through its joys and fears,
Then the two hearts beating each to each!

I WILL Meet One Day The Life Within Me ~ Tagore

XXI
I WILL meet one day the Life within me, the joy that hides in my life,
though the days perplex my path with their idle dust.
I have known it in glimpses, and its fitful breath has come upon me, making
my thoughts fragrant for a while.
I will meet one day the Joy without me that dwells behind the screen of
light--and will stand in the overflowing solitude where all things are seen as by their creator.

Cant Help Faling Love ~ Andrea Bocelli

Andrea Bocelli-Cant Help Faling Love
Wise men say only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you
For I can't help falling in love with you

Truly Madly Deeply ~ Savage Garden

Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply
I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly, madly, deeply do
I will be strong
I will be faithful
'cause I'm counting on

A new beginning
A reason for living
A deeper meaning, yeah

I wanna stand with you on a mountain
I wanna bathe with you in the sea
I wanna lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me

And when the stars are shining brightly in the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish, send it to heaven then make you want to cry
The tears of joy for all the pleasure in the certainty
That we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of

The highest power
In lonely hours
the tears devour you

I wanna stand with you on a mountain
I wanna bathe with you in the sea
I wanna lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me

Oh can you see it baby?
don't have to close your eyes
'Cause it's standing right before you
All that you need will surely come

hooohooo ye-eah

I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly, madly, deeply do

mmm, mmm,

I wanna stand with you on a mountain
I wanna bathe with you in the sea
I wanna lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me

I wanna stand with you on a mountain
I wanna bathe with you in the sea
and I want to live like this forever
Until the sky falls down over me

hooohoooo hoooooo ye-eah

oh oh

loo loo loo doo hoo yeah, hoo yeah dooo

loo loo hoo doo doo yeah, doo hoo-nooo

Brian McFadden - Everything But You

Brian McFadden - Everything But You
Since you left
Things have changed
I got all the things
I said would come my way
I got paid got accolades
Now you barely recognise the life I've made

I thought you wanted what I wanted
You left me
Left me wanting you

Now I've got nothing
I've got nothing
If I've got everything but you
We had something that I've been missing
Since I've got everything
Everything but you
Everything
Everything but you

You know I got so much
But nothing's worth enough
To put a price on us

I thought you wanted what I wanted
You left me
Left me wanting you

Now I've got nothing
I've got nothing
If I've got everything but you
We had something that I've been missing
Since I've got everything
Everything but you
Everything
Everything but you

You know I got so much
Nothing's worth enough
To put a price on us

XiX~Dost Thou Remember ~ Arthur Sherburne Hardy

XIX
Dost thou remember, Dear, the day
We met in those bare woods of May?
  Each had a secret unconfessed,
Each sound a promise, in each nest.
Young wings a-tremble for the air,—
How we joined hands?—not knowing where
The springs that touch set free
          Should find their sea.
Speechless—so sure we were to share
      The unknown good to be.

Dear Heart (Andy Williams) & Ericesson Ad

Dear Heart (Andy Williams)
Dear heart, wish you were here
to warm this night
My dear heart, it seems like a year
since you've been out of my sight

A single room, a table for one
It's a lonesome town all right

But soon I'll kiss you hello at our front door
And dear heart, I want you to know
I'll leave your arms never more

A single room, a table for one
It's a lonesome town all right
But soon I'll kiss you hello
at our front door

And dear heart, I want you to know
I'll leave your arms never more
Never more......

All The World's A Stage ~ William Shakespeare

All The World's A Stage

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
