Teresa Teng passed away 15 years ago today. I would never forget the very first moment of listening her songs, and the moment of hearing the sad news of her untimely passing on May 8th 1995 in Thailand.
Today, her fans around the world commemorate in their own ways to remember her. Her music has still given (especially) Overseas Chinese a sense of belonging, and pride in their heritage. They have surely given me joy and happy memories.
Her songs and music are still part of my life, and most of our lives.
Forever Teresa Teng
The idol of Chinese and Asian on Earth Planet,
Especially for me, in my heart, she had planted.
Resonating sweet and soulful music and songs,
Every night and day, listen and sing along.
Singing and listening even when sick in bed.
A bright and beloved star passed away in a flick.
Teresa, Always will cherish the sweet dream.
Every passing days, months, years and fifteen years now,
Nightingale, please tell me how,
Gone years be filled and the love for you will never dim.
